NJ Man Raped 11-Year-Old Girl Several Times, Prosecutors Say
The 20-year-old could spend his life in prison if convicted.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A Passaic County man has been arrested after investigators discovered he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl multiple times last year, prosecutors said.
Nasir Sharrock, 20, of Bloomingdale, faces several charges following an investigation into the child’s assault.
Officials said on July 22, 2025, around 8 a.m, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit learned that an 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted the night before.

Investigators identified Sharrock, who was 19 at the time, as the primary suspect. According to police, he had “committed several acts of sexual penetration against the child.”
Authorities issued a warrant for Sharrock’s arrest. On Wednesday, months after the incident, he was located and arrested in the area of Red Twig Trail and Clark Street in Bloomingdale.

Sharrock faces two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
If convicted of one aggravated sexual assault charge alone, Sharrock could face life in prison. He would also be subject to Megan’s Law registration requirements and parole supervision for life if convicted and eventually released.
Prosecutors have filed for pre-trial detention for Sharrock.
