Woman Finds Dead Rodent In Drink At CVS In NJ: Lawsuit

Samantha Corrado allegedly found the dead rodent inside an Arizona beverage she bought at a CVS only after she finished drinking it.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A North Jersey woman filed a lawsuit against a popular beverage company after finding a dead rodent inside an iced tea she purchased at a CVS in Totowa.

Samantha Corrado of Totowa filed the suit against Arizona Beverages USA and CVS in Bergen County Superior Court, court records show. Patch could not obtain a copy of the lawsuit by press time.

Corrado purchased the canned drink in August 2016 at the CVS on Union Boulevard in Totowa in August 2016. She finished the drink, but noticed that the can "weighed more than to what she was accustomed," according to a report on NorthJersey.com, which cited the lawsuit.

She looked inside and saw a dead rodent inside the can, according to the report. The incident caused Corrado stomach issues and permanent psychiatric and psychological injuries, according to the report.

Corrado said the the lawsuit that "no reasonable person could be expected to endure such a distress," 1010WINS reported.
