North Jersey Girl Knocks School's 'Sexist' Dress Code In Yearbook Quote
"I'm sorry, did my shoulder distract you from reading this quote?"
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Victoria DiPaolo used her yearbook to have the final word on her high school's dress code.
A West Milford High School student, DiPaolo challenged the dress code, which she claims is sexist, by wearing a low-cut black top and a off-color comment below it.
She posted the picture on Twitter with the caption: Tori: 1 Dress code: 0.

DiPaolo's quote is, "I'm sorry, did my shoulder distract you from reading this quote?"
DiPaolo told Yahoo Style that over the past four years herself and many of her friends received dress code violations for clothes that were nowhere near inappropriate.

DiPaolo told Yahoo Style that she became "infamous" at school for fighting the administration regarding the dress code and figured she would use her senior quote "as one final jab."
"I just found it funny that the outfits for senior portraits technically violated the dress code by exposing our shoulders, so I saw my opportunity and ran with it," DiPaolo said in the report.
The West Milford Public School District dress code states that a student's dress "is and should be a personal matter" and that "Insistence by the school on rigid conformity is prohibited."
The code also states that "reasonable standards of good taste and proper grooming are to be encouraged and enforced. Additionally, pupil dress or grooming must not be such so as to negatively impact the education, health or safety of any pupil."
DiPaolo's original tweet has been retweeted 465 times and "liked" 1,200 times.
Twitter users sent messages of support and encouragement to DiPaolo since the photo was posted.
