Officials Support Bringing Dave & Buster's To Wayne
New gaming establishment could be located on Route 23 officials said.

While it may be a while before a casino is built in North Jersey, another type of gaming establishment could be located in Wayne, one that caters to a much younger crowd.
The state Assembly is considering legislation that would allow establishments that occupy at least 20,000 square feet and contain at least 100 amusement games to hold both licenses. The legislation, which would overturn a 1959 law, was released by the Assembly Regulatory Oversight Committee last month.
Officails told NorthJersey.com that he, as do other local officials, support the idea of possibly bringing such a business to Wayne, especially on either Routes 23 or 46 in the First Ward. The area was recently rezoned for commercial use.

“Any kind of amusement family-oriented kind of business would be great and bring in ratables,” First Ward Councilman Richard Jasterzbski told the website.
Councilwoman-At-Large Lonni Miller Ryan agreed, noting that the feedback from residents about such a business coming to the township has been “tremendous.”

“We have made the change, the state legislature has moved a step-closer to doing their part, and hopefully we can now attract the businesses, creating positive ratables which will in turn lower residents’ tax burdens,” Miller Ryan told the website.
