Openly Gay GOP Chairman 'Incredulous' Over Garrett's Comments: Reports
Republican Scott Garrett challenges his party's leadership.

John Traier, chairman of the Passaic County Regular Republican Organization (PCRRO), said he finds it ”hard to believe that” Congressman Scott Garrett said him not backing gay Republicans is a reason for him withholding dues from the National Republican Congressional Committee, a report states.
“First of all, I am very incredulous that he did, in fact, say anything,” Traier told PolitickerNJ. “Garrett has donated to me in the past, so I don’t understand why those comments would be true.”
Garrett has refused to pay his dues to the National Republican Congressional Committee because, according to him, it “because it actively recruited gay candidates and supported homosexuals in primaries,” Politico.com reported.

Traier said that it may be doubtful that Garrett made the remarks about homosexual Republicans. He said he would be “personally offended” if it turns out Garrett actually said what he did.
