Passaic Co. Man Repeatedly Sexually Assaulted 2 Children: Prosecutor
The man's charges include two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.

PASSAIC, NJ — A Passaic County man was charged Wednesday for sexually assaulting two children in Passaic, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. Pedro Perez-Guadalupe's charges include two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.
A child disclosed to a school's staff members that Perez-Guadalupe, of Clifton, sexually assaulted them in the past, authorities said. The employees reported the allegation April 6 to the prosecutor's office.
Detectives interviewed multiple witnesses. Two were children who told law enforcement that Perez-Guadalupe sexually assaulted them multiple times in Passaic, the prosecutor's office said.

Perez-Guadalupe, 42, was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault (first-degree), one count of sexual assault (second-degree), one count of endangering the welfare of a child (second-degree), one count of kidnapping (first-degree) and one count of hindering apprehension regarding one child under age 13 (second-degree).
The man is detained at the Passaic County Jail, the prosecutor's office said Thursday afternoon. The office filed a motion for pretrial detention, which a Superior Court judge will hear early next week.
