Passaic Co. Motorcyclist Killed In North Jersey Crash: State Police
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital after the single-vehicle crash, authorities said.
MONTAGUE, NJ — A single-vehicle crash killed a Passaic County motorcyclist Sunday in Sussex County, according to State Police. The accident took the life of Elio Fernandez, 50, of Passaic.
The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Deckertown Road Turnpike, at the intersection with Crigger Road in Montague, according to State Police Tpr. Brandi Slota. While traveling east, Fernandez lost control of the Harley Davidson motorcycle and went off the road to the right, police said.
As a result, Fernandez was ejected and sustained serious injuries, according to Slota. Officials took him to Bon Secour Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
