The site at the former Macy's will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

WAYNE, NJ — Passaic County will open a vaccine megasite Saturday at the former Macy's in Wayne (Preakness Shopping Center, 1210 Hamburg Tpke.).

The site will be open from 12-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. It is open to New Jersey residents.

People can schedule appointments online, but walk-ins are welcome. The site is a collaborative effort between Passaic County, New Jersey State Police, the New Jersey Department of Health, the National Guard and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

In Passaic County, 86.1 percent of people 5 and older — the eligible age range — have received one COVID vaccine dose, while 66.2 percent completed their first vaccination course, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
