Passaic County Lottery Player Wins $40K
A lottery ticket sold in Passaic County for the Friday Mega Millions drawing netted one player $40,000, lottery officials announced.
HEWITT, NJ — One Passaic County lottery player won $40,000 in Friday's Mega Millions drawing, lottery officials announced.
The ticket matched enough numbers to secure a third-tier prize, officials said. It was sold at Jackpocket, located at 355 Warwick Tpke., in Hewitt.
In addition to the third-tier prize, 11 players matched four of the five white balls drawn, making each of those tickets worth $500. Three of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $2,000.

More than 23,000 other New Jersey players took home $114,476 in prizes ranging from $2 to $800, officials said.
The winning numbers for the Friday, July 16, drawing were: 24, 25, 47, 52, and 57. The Gold Mega Ball was 24, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
