Passaic County Man Arrested For Having 17 Machine Guns
Mariusz Cebula, 36, had the weapons at his house, authorities allege.

A Passaic County man who allegedly had 17 machine guns at his residence was due in federal court Tuesday, authorities said.
Authorities found 17 machines guns, two short-barreled rifles, and one silencer at Mariusz Cabula's Ringwood home in July 2015, U.S. Attorney General Paul J. Fishman announced. Law enforcement officers were there to serve a temporary restraining order.
Officers found 17 machines guns, 262 high-capacity magazines, two short-barreled rifles, one silencer, and dozens of other components, ammunition, accessories, and firearm manufacturing tools Fishman said.

Some of the 17 machine guns were operational automatic weapons. including a 9mm Lugar caliber, STEN Mk II type and a C.G. Haenel 9mm caliber, MP-41 select-fire machine gun, Fishman said.
Cabula was charged with knowingly possessing machine guns. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
