Bergen County Man Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Children: Prosecutor
Raelito Palao, 55, of Waldwick, is guilty of assaulting three girls between 11 to 14 years old. The girls are children of Palao's friends.
A Bergen County man was found guilty Wednesday of sexual assaulting three girls between 11 and 14 years old, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced.
The girls are children of Palao's family friends, Valdes said.
Palao was found guilty of sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual contact, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Valdes said.

Palao faces a maximum term of 31-and-a-half years in state prison when Judge Marilyn C. Clark sentences him Jan. 20.
Palao must serve at least eight-and-a-half years of the sentence before he is eligible for parole, Valdes said.

Palao must register as a sex offender under Megan's Law and be under parole supervision for life upon his release from prison.
