Passaic County Man Hit By Car, Killed While Crossing Street

Marinus Lalumia, 81, was struck while crossing Hazel Street near the intersection with Van Orden Place in Clifton, the prosecutor said.

CLIFTON, NJ — An 81-year-old Clifton man is dead after he was hit by a car while crossing the street on Sunday, the Passaic County Prosecutor said.

Marinus Lalumia was crossing Hazel Street near the intersection with Van Orden Place in Clifton when he was struck by a car driven by a 21-year-old from Paterson around 8:22 a.m. on Sunday, the prosecutor said.

Lalumia was pronounced dead on the scene.
