Passaic County Teacher Of The Year Is...

Barbara Ziegler, a science teacher at Lakeland Regional High School in Wanaque, has been honored by the New Jersey Education Association as one of its 21 county teachers of the year for 2016-17.

“NJEA is proud to join with students, school employees, parents, and others in congratulating the 2016-17 New Jersey County Teachers of the Year,” the organization said in a statement. “They are an impressive group of educators; we applaud their achievements inside and outside the classroom and we thank them for making their careers in public education.”

Parents, teachers, and administrators named Ziegler the district's teacher of the year in February, NorthJersey.com reported.
