Paterson's Great Falls Nearly Frozen Over [Video]

The sub-freezing temperatures are turning the famous falls into solid ice.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — The Great Falls in Paterson are slowly freezing into solid ice.
Temperatures have been so low that it's literally colder than Antarctica: As of 3:15 p.m. it's 33 degrees in Antarctica and just 27 degrees in Bridgewater, according to the National Weather Service.

The waterfall at Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park is 260 feet wide and 77 feet high. It rushes through the Passaic River Gorge. The falls are a recognized National Natural Landmark.
