Pequannock River Is Forecast To Flood
The river, which is at 9.3 feet high now, is forecast to rise to 10.6 feet Saturday morning.

WAYNE, NJ — The Pequannock River is forecast to flood Saturday morning.
A nor'easter is blanketing the area with rain and causing North Jersey rivers, including the Pequannock, Ramapo, Pompton and Passaic, to rise slowly, but steadily.
When last reported, the Pequannock River flood gauge at Macopin read that the river there was slightly more than four and a half feet high. Action stage for the river is five feet. Minor flood stage is five and a half feet, with moderate flood stage being a foot higher.

The Pompton River was at more than 11 feet high, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's flood gauge. The river is forecast to crest at 14.4 feet, well into the action stage.
The Ramapo River at Pompton Lakes was at 9.3 feet high and forecast to crest at 10.6 feet Saturday, also well into the stage for that river.
