Lawn-Watering Schedule Set In Wayne: See Details
Officials are asking residents to help them level out weekly water usage in the township by following this schedule, depending on address.
WAYNE, NJ — Wayne officials have implemented a permanent alternate day watering schedule to level out the township's weekly water usage, said the water and sewer department.
Wayne water and sewer officials ask residents with addresses ending in even numbers, and zero, to water their lawns and landscaping on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only. Those with addresses ending in odd numbers are asked to water only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
In addition, township officials say lawn watering will not be permitted on Sundays; however, plants and shrubs can be watered Sunday.
