Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Ringwood State Park, None Hurt
Only two people occupied the plane, which landed in the Skylands Botanical Garden.
RINGWOOD, NJ — A plane made an emergency landing Thursday afternoon at the Skylands Botanical Garden in Ringwood State Park. The pilot and co-pilot — the planes only occupants — did not sustain injuries.
The single-engine Cessna 182 landed just after 3:15 p.m. Thursday. The pilot reported engine problems to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The landing caused minimal damage — a tree impacted and tire marks in the grass — according to a spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
