Preakness Bible Church Awarded Community Garden Grant
Church will use the $500 grant to foster healthy eating in the community.

WAYNE, N.J. – Preakness Bible Church received a $500 grant from City Green to help foster neighborhood farming and community garden programs.
City Green distributes the grants to help plant community gardens in urban and suburban areas as part of its “Dig In” program.
“People want to eat fresh and organic food, but sometimes eating healthy can be too expensive for people,” Freeholder Director Theodore Best. “These community gardens beautify our community and produce food that is healthy, they provide that food to the families that need it most.”
