Racist Message On Bathroom Wall Under Investigation at William Paterson University
An image of the racist message was posted to Twitter on Wednesday. The writing was removed within an hour of its discovery.

William Paterson University Police are investigating after a swastika and a racist three-word statement was found Wednesday night in a residence hall bathroom.
The statement read: “Kill all n*****s” along with a swastika and a picture of a person hanging from a tree branch, supposedly depicting a lynching.

William Paterson University Police were called to the scene and the writing was removed within an hour of its discovery.
“This hateful act is in direct opposition to the values of William Paterson University and we will not tolerate any bigotry in any form,” said University President Kathleen Waldron in a statement e-mailed to the school community. “We embrace and celebrate our diversity. We respect and support each other and we work together — inside and outside the classroom— to solve difficult problems.”

The image was posted by a Twitter on Wednesday night.
The incident followed a series of violent threats made Wednesday on social media against black students at Kean University.
“We are mindful of recent events across the globe, and recent discussions and protests on campuses — including ours — across the country,” Waldron said.
