Fetty Wap Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Paterson, Reports Say

Rapper Fetty Wap was reportedly injured in an accident in his hometown of Paterson on Saturday.
News of the accident broke on Twitter. Pictures showed the 25-year-old rapper also known as Willie Maxwell with a neck brace being carried away on a stretcher.

Paterson Police confirmed to NorthJersey.com that Wap was thrown from his motorcycle shortly after 1 p.m. on Park Avenue after colliding with a car. The Paterson rapper was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

Soon after reports of the crash, the hashtag #PrayForFetty emerged on social media.
A picture of Wap posted by his DJ at the hospital showed that he had in injury to his left leg but otherwise looked in good shape. NorthJersey.com reports that he may be held overnight at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for observation.
Best known for his single ”Trap Queen” released in 2014, his debut studio album was released Sept. 25, just one day before the crash.
