Santa Arriving In Wayne For Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Wayne, and the township will get festive this week.

WAYNE, NJ — It's about to look a lot like Christmas in Wayne, with Santa Claus set to arrive soon for the township's annual tree lighting.

The ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wayne Township Municipal Building. Friday is the rain/snow date.

  • 6:30-7 p.m.: holiday music by Bach to Rock.
  • 7 p.m.: welcome by Mayor Christopher Vergano, introduction by dignitaries and the lighting of the tree.
  • 7:10 p.m.: holiday sing-along with Cub Scout Pack 192.
  • 7:15-8 p.m.: Santa arrives. Photos with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
