Wayne School District Waiting On Results Of Lead Testing Samples
Samples were taken from more than 1,200 places in every school and building throughout the district.

WAYNE, N.J. — The public school district is waiting for results on water samples being tested for lead.
The state Department of Education requested the samples be taken. The samples must meet the state Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) guidelines for lead levels in schools as of July 13.
Water from more than 1,200 outlets at the district's 14 schools and other buildings are being tested by a DEP laboratory.

Test results will be available at the district's central office on Nellis Drive.
