School Van Loaded With Students Crashes On North Jersey Highway

The van collided with a snow bank on Wednesday morning, police said.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A school van carrying several students crashed on a major Passaic County highway on Wednesday morning, police said.

Around 8:15 a.m, police were called to Route 80 West near milepost 58.7 in Paterson on reports of a vehicle crash.

Police said a Chevrolet school van was headed west on Route 80 when the driver "lost directional control" and slammed into a snow bank on the road's right shoulder.

State police have not specified which school the van was from.
