Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued In Passaic County
"Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible," the National Weather Service said. "Expect wind damage to trees and power lines."
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ— Forecasters issued more severe thunderstorm warnings in North Jersey on Monday afternoon, as storms capable of damaging winds, large hail, flooding, and lightning have arrived.
The newest warnings issued are in Bergen, Essex, and Passaic counties until 5 p.m. Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-sized hail are possible, said forecasters.
"Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms," said the National Weather Service.
