Shredding Event Coming Up Sept. 9 For Wayne Township Residents

WAYNE, NJ — Wayne Township residents who want to safely dispose of confidential documents such as bank statements, business records, or other sensitive papers can do so at an upcoming shredding event.

The next confidential shredding event is scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 9. It will be held at the Wayne Municipal Building's front parking lot (475 Valley Road) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., said township officials. This will be a rain or shine event.

Residents must show proof that they live in Wayne Township, and are allowed the equivalent of four banker boxes' worth of documents per household.

"Documents should be in cardboard boxes or reusable containers, not plastic bags," officials said. "The boxes and containers will be returned after the materials are dumped."
