Special Workshop Designed To Help Parents Of Autistic Students Transition Out Of High School
Wayne officials will talk about new initiatives meant to help students transition to postsecondary education and the workforce.

A special workshop for parents of special needs children will be held Wednesday at Anthony Wayne Middle School.
The workshop, entitled Employability, is designed to help parents of special needs students help their children transition to the workforce and postsecondary education opportunities. The Wayne Special Parents Association is sponsoring the workshop.
Sharon Artz will speak about providing vocational training for teenagers with special needs. She is the founder of Soaperior Organix, an e-commerce soap business that provides such training.

Patty Pacelli, an advocate for children diagnosed with Autism and author of “Six-Word Lessons for Autism Friendly Workplaces” will speak to attendees about preparing their children to the workplace via Skype.
The Wayne Public School District’s Transition Team will speak about new initiatives designed to assist students with special needs transition to postsecondary education.
