Teen's Body Found In Paterson: PCPO

A 13-year-old boy was found dead in New Jersey over the weekend, prosecutors said.

The incident happened sometime before 3:45 p.m. on Sunday when police officers responded to the area behind 133 Harrison St. in Paterson and discovered a body, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered the boy, later identified as a 13-year-old from Paterson, the PCPO said.

The medical examiner’s office was called to the scene and took custody of the body, the PCPO said.

An autopsy, which will be scheduled at a date and time to be determined by the medical examiner’s office, will be performed in order to determine the manner and cause of death.

This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes
available.
