Tick Tock Named A Top 10 Diner In The U.S.

The Clifton landmark was noted for its chrome decor and disco fries.

The iconic Tick Tock Diner was named the number two diner in the United States by The Daily Meal website recently.

The website said that, "literally everyone" from North Jersey has heard of the Tick Tock and "just about all of them have dined there as well."

The website pointed out the Clifton landmark's chrome, neon and glass brick decor and its menu, which is "about as long as "War & Peace."

The Disco Fries, New Jersey’s answer to poutine, fries topped with melted mozzarella and brown gravy, is the one item to get off the menu, the website said.

The Red Arrow Diner in Manchester, New Hampshire, was ranked number one. The diner is a "must-visit" for any presidential candidate, the website said.
