Toys "R" Us Stores To Open 5 P.M. Thanksgiving Day

WAYNE, N.J. — Toys "R" Us will open its stores at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

It is the fourth consecutive year the Wayne-based company has implemented the opening time — one of the earliest such times of major retailers — to kick off the holiday shopping season.

Stores will remain open for 30 hours, until 11 p.m. on Black Friday, Nov. 25 except for the two Paramus locatons. They will remain closed from 11 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and 7 a.m. Black Friday.

Customers voted on potential Black Friday weekend opening times at Toys "R" Us' 875 United States stores.

“They continue to want the option to get an early start on their holiday shopping lists,” said Joe Venezia, executive vice president of global store operations.
