Ukrainian Church In Passaic Co. Now Only Needs Money: How To Help

CLIFTON, NJ — The Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Church continues to collect donations for the nation under attack. But it shifted its needs Monday to money only.

The church has led a humanitarian-aid drive for Ukraine since Russia's invasion. But organizers need time to process collected donations before sending them to Ukraine, the church announced Monday.

"We would like to express our gratitude to each and all of you for being so kind and helpful during these difficult for Ukraine times and bringing your donations to our church," the church's post says.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church doesn't know when it will resume collecting donations besides money. Monetary donations aid "different organizations and volunteers in Ukraine to be spent for the most urgent needs Ukrainian people, soldiers and refugees have at the moment," according to the church.

The church is located at 635 Broad St., Clifton.
