Valley Girls Varsity Soccer Team Likes Its Chances
Coach Chip Smith confident as quality players return.
Girls Varsity soccer coach Chip Smith said he's looking forward to "a competitive year" as Wayne Valley welcomes the return of several players this season, including All-County senior Megan Leonard.
Smith said he also feels good about how the team played in its scrimmages this preseason.
"All of our scrimmages were with quality teams so they should really give us a good test as to where we are as compared to some of the better teams around," Smith said.

The team plays its season opener on Saturday at Passaic Valley High School.
