Valley National Bank To Close 15 More N.J. Branches
Branches are located in areas where overlap exists.

Valley National Bancorp said Wednesday it will close 15 more New Jersey branches by the end of next year to cut costs, bringing the total number of branch closings to 28.
The Wayne-based company already announced the closing of 13 branches, seven of which closed during the third quarter, The Record reported, including two in Wayne and one in Edgewater, and another in Ho-Ho-Kus.
The remaining 21 branches have not yet been identified, company spokesman Marc Piro said, adding that they will be ones that overlap with other branches in the same territory.

Prio said the company will alert customers with accounts based at those branches well in adavnce of the closings to give them enough time to withdraw there money or transfer the account to another branch.
Prio would not say how many jobs would be cut, but, according to The Record’s report, most will be through ”natural attrition and retirements.”
