Walgreens Application On Agenda for July 5 Board of Adjustments Meeting

Could the former Friendly's on Hamburg Turnpike be a new Walgreens?

At one time 1235 Hamburg Turnpike was a place for hamburgers and ice cream when it was a Friendly's, but if an application from the members of the Wayne-Hamburg, LLC, is approved, it will be a place to fill perscriptions, purchase magazines and other items.

Tonight, at the July 5 meeting of the Board of Adjustment, the application will be discussed after having been carried from previous meetings that occurred in March, April, May and June.

The Wayne Patch has asked in the past and it will be asked again. Is it in the town's best interest to have a Walgreens at that location? Should the board approve the application?
