Wayne Approves 2017-18 School Calendar
Four emergency days have been built into the calendar. Spring recess will be April 2 through 6.
WAYNE, N.J. — The Board of Education approved the district's 2017-18 district calendar recently.
The first day of school is Sept. 7, the Thursday after Labor Day.
Schools will be closed Nov. 7, Election Day, Nov. 8 and 9 for the state teachers convention, and Feb. 16 and 19 for Presidents Day and winter recess.

Spring recess is April 2 through 6.
Four emergency days will be available to use. Schools will be closed May 24, 25, 29, and 30 if they are not used. If more than four are used, school will be in session April 4, 5, and 6, if necessary.
