Wayne Budget Vote Coming Wednesday, With Introduction On Council Agenda

The Township Council will vote Wednesday night on introducing the municipal budget.

WAYNE, NJ — It's that time of year when cities and towns move closer to setting budgets for the next fiscal year. Wayne's municipal budget will receive a vote for introduction at Wednesday night's Township Council meeting, according to the agenda.

Municipal budgets play a key role in the funding of township services and property taxes on residents. The township's budget totaled $85.1 million this fiscal year.

Each year, township departments submit their budget proposals to the business administrator and Finance Department. Following reviews and revisions, the council will vote to introduce the budget.
