Wayne COVID Vaccinations Postponed Due To Winter Weather

WAYNE, NJ — Township residents scheduled to receive their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will have to wait a day due to winter weather.

Wayne officials announced Wednesday that Friday appointments at the township vaccine clinic have been postponed to Saturday ahead of forecasted snowfall.

The township-sponsored clinic is located at the former Macy's store in the Preakness Shopping Center, and has been offering vaccinations since January on an extremely limited basis.

Those with an appointment will receive a confirmation email for their new appointment date, which is Saturday. Appointment times may change due to the rescheduling, officials said.

Officials ask that anyone with an appointment they won't be able to attend call the health department at 973-694-1800 ext. 3243.

The National Weather Service issued winter storm alerts across New Jersey, saying that snow and sleet accumulations could bring anywhere from 3 to 8 inches across the state.
