Wayne Football Players Named To All-North Jersey Teams: Report

WAYNE, N.J. — Several township athletes were named to The Record's All-North Jersey offensive and defensive teams this season.

First Team Offense

Grant Ferraullo, quarterback, Wayne Valley
Completed 64 percent of his passes for more than 3,300 yards with 40 touchdowns and only four interceptions. He had 257 yards and three touchdowns against Wayne Hills in the state sectional championship game.

Joe Scancarella, wide receiver, Wayne Valley
Had more than 70 catches for more than 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Hunter Hayek, wide receiver, Wayne Hills
Helped the Patriots win their ninth state group championship and Wayne Demikoff's first as a head coach. Had 57 catches for 896 yards and 14 touchdowns this year. Has committed to Rutgers University.

Second Team All-North Jersey Offense
Luca Grave, running back, Wayne Hills

First Team Defense

Jason Modak, defensive lineman, Wayne Hills
This two-way lineman had four forced fumbles and recovered three and a team-high 11 sacks and 89 tackles.

Brendan DeVera, Wayne Hills
He played well on both sides of the ball with 2,221 passing yards, 37 touchdowns and had 86 tackles as a linebacker, two sacks, and three forced fumbles.
