Those who are vaccinated must remain for 15-30 minutes after injection for monitoring. Adequate space exists on-site for those waiting to remain seated 6-feet apart during the monitoring period.
Wayne Township Health Department will be administering the Moderna vaccine which requires two injections. Those who get vaccinated will have to register and return for a second appointment approximately 28 days after the initial injection, according to the OEM.
To participate in the first phase of vaccinations, category 1A eligible patients must register before the day of vaccinations.
Health insurance isn't needed to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, which is given at no cost, officials said.
This comes as coronavirus totals are spiking in the township for the second consecutive month, with more than 1,000 new cases reported in December.
