This Wayne High School Is Ranked Among The Best In The U.S.

U.S. News & World Report released its annual list of best high schools in the country.

WAYNE, NJ — One township high school was ranked among the best in the United States by U.S. News & World Report.

Passaic County Technical Institute was one of the 103 New Jersey schools to make the annual list. It received a bronze ranking and was the only school in Passaic County ranked.

The 2018 best high school rankings were released on Wednesday and evaluate over 20,500 public high schools. U.S. News identified schools that best serve all students and assessed how prepared students are for college-level work. Schools are also recognized with gold, silver and bronze medals with gold indicating the greatest level of college readiness.

Twenty-three New Jersey schools received a gold medal, 39 received a silver medal, and 41 schools received a bronze medal.

The highest ranked New Jersey school on the list was 22nd: High Technology High School in Mommouth County.

Bergen County Academies in Hackensack and Bergen County Technical High School - Teterboro were ranked second and third in New Jersey, respectively, and 43rd and 58th in the country.
