Wayne Man, 80, Kills Self, 81-Year-Old Wife In Murder-Suicide: Prosecutor
BREAKING: The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. Monday at the couple's home, authorities said.
WAYNE, N.J. — An elderly township man shot and killed his wife and then himself in an apparent murder-suicide Monday afternoon, authorities said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Daniel Martone, 80, shot and killed his wife, Barbara Martone, 81, before shooting himself, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a news release.
The shootings happened at about 3:30 p.m. at the couple's Dwyer Street home, Valdes said.
