Wayne Middle School, High School Students Receive Scholarships From Spencer Savings Bank

Wayne Hills, Schuyler-Colfax students receive $1,000 and $500 scholarships, respectively.

Two Wayne students have received scholarships from Spencer Savings Bank.

Samin Foysol, a student at Wayne Hills High School, and Schuyler-Colfax Middle School student Aishwarya Suresh received a $1,000 and $500 scholarship, respectively, from the bank in the form of a Coverdell Education Savings Account June 24.

The bank awarded $23,500 in scholarships to 31 local students. The program recognizes and encourages students with academic potential as they plan for their future eduction.

“Investing in our community starts with helping secure an education for our children,” said José B. Guerrero, chairman, president and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank. “Education is expensive and much needed for a bright future. We are so proud to support these young scholars in their academic pursuits, hopes and dreams.”
