Book Drop Reopening

The Wayne Public Library thanks so many of you for holding onto library materials these last few months. We have continued extending due dates and have once again extended all due dates to June 30, 2020.

But we know many of you are eager to return the items you have checked out. Starting on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, we will reopen the book drop for you to drop off materials.

Since there are literally thousands of items ready to come back, and our book drop can only take so much at a time, the book drop will only be open from 9 AM to 4:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 9 AM to 8 PM on Tuesdays. That way, Library staff can empty out the book drop and open space again for you to keep feeding the beast!

Please be aware that returned materials will not be immediately taken off of your record upon return. We will store materials for up to one week based on recommended guidelines, but don’t worry, you will NOT accumulate any fines. Thank you for holding onto and taking care of all those materials!
