Wayne Resident, DePaul Senior Selected as USA Football Heart of a Giant Week 2 Winner
Andrew Failace has been selected as a Week 2 Winner and must compete against nine other contestants for the most votes in order to advance.

Andrew Failace, a senior football player at DePaul Catholic and a Wayne resident, has been selected as a Week 2 Winner for the USA Football Heart of a Giant presented by Hospital for Special Surgery and the New York Giants.
Failace was selected for this award based on recommendation by his coach and by evaluation of the questionnaire that was completed. As a weekly award winner, he will represent DePaul Catholic for the chance to win a $5,000 equipment grant for the football program.
Failace was entered in an online voting competition that began on Oct. 23. He must now compete against the other nine weekly award winners from his group to become a finalist for the award. Failace will be required to lobby to classmates, faculty, friends and family to vote for him on http://www.usafootball.com/heartofagiant to be named a finalist and compete for the grand prize.

Voting will close on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 11:59 p.m. and six finalists will be announced on Monday, Dec. 8. Those with the most votes from each weekly group will be selected as finalists and will receive a $1,000 equipment grant for their high school team.
Once an athlete is identified as a finalist, he/she will be required to submit a video showcasing why they have the Heart of a Giant. Videos will need to be submitted by finalists by Dec. 17. Once submitted, Hospital for Special Surgery and USA Football will review all video submissions and identify a grand prize winner. The grand prize winner will receive an additional $4,000 equipment grand ($5,000 total), a Heart of a Giant trophy, and be recognized on the field at the New York Giants Week 17 home game vs. Philadelphia on Sunday, Dec. 28.
