Wayne Runners To Race In 2023 New York City Marathon

WAYNE, NJ — The 2023 New York City Marathon kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 5 with tens of thousands of runners crossing that starting line, including 10 from Wayne Township.

There are more than 50,000 runners from more than 125 countries who will take part in the TCS New York City Marathon course that runs 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of NYC.

Below is a list of the Wayne runners participating. Please note, the list does not encompass the whole field from New Jersey, just runners who have agreed to share their information with media:

Race Map

As usual, the course touches all five boroughs.It starts on the Staten Island side of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and runs through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx before re-entering Manhattan to finish the race in Central Park near 67th Street.

Watching from Home

Marathon watchers don't need to be at the race to see it.
In the New York City area, ABC7 will broadcast the race from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with pre-race coverage beginning at 7 a.m.

Continued coverage will be live until 1 p.m. Viewers can also watch a livestream on the ABC App and at ABC7NY.com.
