8 candidates filed to run for 3 available seats on Wayne's Board of Education. Here are the candidates.

WAYNE, NJ — Eight candidates will run for three available seats on the Board of Education for Wayne Township Public Schools.
The board will feature at least two new faces next year, as Board President Suzanne Pudup is the only incumbent candidate. Seats belonging to Board Members Michael Bubba and Dawn Kumar are also available, as both of their terms expire at the end of this year.
The following candidates filed to run, according to the Passaic County Clerk Elections Division:

- Ryan Battershill
- Barbara Rigoglioso
- Matthew Giordano
- Jacob Van Lunen
- Suzanne Pudup
- Stacey Scher
- Cynthia P. Simon
The election features two groups of candidates who jointly filed to run: the "Children First" ticket of Battershill and Rigoglioso, and the "United not Divided" slate featuring Van Lunen, Pudup and Scher.
Giordano's opted for "Giordano for Wayne" to appear with his name on ballots, while Simon's slogan is "Affordable Excellence." Alequin's spot on the ballot will not include a slogan.

The election will take place Nov. 8 — the same date as midterm general elections.
