Students will go home early Thursday as poor air quality lingers in Wayne and around New Jersey from the wildfires in Canada.

WAYNE, NJ — Students at Wayne Public Schools will go home early again Thursday, as poor air quality lingers in Passaic County and around the state amidst massive wildfires in Canada.
All Wayne Township schools will follow a Minimal Day Schedule for Thursday, June 8. Extended day and after-school activities are cancelled.
"We are aware that many of our students experienced a variety of symptoms related to poor air quality," school officials said. "We encourage parents to consider individual symptoms when determining whether or not to send children to school."
