Wayne Student Honored With Governor's Awards In Arts Education

TaTyana Williams was among 89 students and 19 educators award winners.

A Wayne high school student was among 89 to receive a Governor’s Award in Arts Education recently.

TaTyana Williams, a student at Passaic County Technical Institute, won a Student Award for Artistic Excellence and Leadership in Dance.

Christiana Mooers, a student at Eastern Christian High School in North Haledon, won a Student Arts Excellence Award for computer graphicsl.

The awards, now in their 35th year, honor the best in arts education from across the state. Awards are creativity, talent, and leadership are given out annually.
