WAYNE, NJ — Wayne Township voters in the Fifth Ward will head to the polls on June 2 to choose the Democratic nominee for Township Council.
Two Democrats are competing in the primary:
The winner is expected to advance to the November general election, where they will likely face Matthew Cavallo, who is running unopposed on the Democratic ticket.

When Is Election Day?
The primary election will be held Tuesday, June 2.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Where Can Wayne Residents Vote?
Wayne voters must vote at their assigned polling location on Election Day. Residents can look up their polling place through the New Jersey Division of Elections Polling Place Search tool.

Early Voting Information
Passaic County residents may vote early from May 26 through May 31 at any county early voting location.
Early voting hours are:
- Tuesday through Saturday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Voting By Mail
The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot by mail is May 26. Voters may also apply in person at the Passaic County Clerk’s Office through 3 p.m. on June 1.
Completed ballots may be:
- Returned by mail
- Dropped in an official ballot drop box
- Delivered to the Passaic County Board of Elections by 8 p.m. on Election Day
