Wayne YMCA Hosts Open House This Saturday, Jan. 9

Joining the YMCA can help you achieve and maintain your New Year’s wellness resolution. On Saturday, the Wayne YMCA will open its doors to all who are curious about the benefits of individual and family Y memberships.

Stop by the Wayne Y anytime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and take part in a variety of free activities, family programs and open swims offered throughout the day. You also can get a health assessment and get advice about healthy eating from a ShopRite dietician.

As a community center, the Y fosters healthy lifestyles by making exercising fun and offering guidance for eating nutritiously. “We’re a community that supports individuals and families in reaching their goals,’’ Wayne YMCA Executive Director Justin Ihne said. The Y believes everyone deserves access to resources that help them achieve wellness and provides financial assistance to those who qualify.
