Wayne YMCA Kicks Off Summer With Free Water Safety Classes
Children and adults with little or no swim experience can sign up for five, 30-minute sessions during Safety Around Water Week, June 25-29

Children and adults with little or no swim experience are invited to enroll in the Wayne YMCA’s free Safety Around Water program June 25-29 to learn life-saving skills.
“Swimming is one of the most important life skills people can learn,” Wayne YMCA Aquatics Director Scott Reiners said. “Not only does it save lives, swimming builds confidence and promotes fitness, and can be enjoyed at every stage in life.”
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children 1 to 4 years old and is the second leading cause of death for children from 5 to 14 years old.
